DEATH IN PARADISE
BBC1, 9pm
ANOTHER day in paradise, another horrible murder. It’s enough to put you off travelling to Caribbean islands forever.
This time Detective Neville Parker (Ralf Little), DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) and the team dig deep into the baffling death of archaeology professor Roger Harkness.
There are two main suspects – the prof’s timid assistant Rebecca Morley (Bryony Hannah), who knows more than you first think, and handsome and foppish PHD student, Ed Lancer (Luke Pasqualino).
It seems like an easy case to crack, but it turns out the archaeologists weren’t alone.
Meanwhile, JP (Tobi Bakare) seems to have met his match in Marlon Pryce (Tahj Miles), a wayward 19-year old, who could become JP’s biggest challenge, and Florence and Neville begin to realise they might get along better than they originally thought – even if Neville doesn’t want to attend the Saint Marie Crab Festival.
Surprisingly, he’s not allergic, but crabs give him the “heebie jeebies”.
