RIP to a truly loyal British patriot

-

I HAVE recently received the news that Desiree Newark, who formerly lived at Veryan with husband Jim, passed away in West Sussex during November.

Desiree was Secretary of the Cornwall Branch of the Democracy Movement, which was open to all political parties and anyone who was determined to see Britain leave the EU and return to ruling ourselves.

When Jim died, she moved closer to her son and would have been in her very late 80s.

Some of us tried to keep in touch with Desiree, as she had been magnificent in the work that she did for many years, and at her Cornish home we knew that utmost efficiency was order of the day.

Her health sadly faded for her to have enjoyed Dec 31st, but the work she put into the organisation will never be forgotten.

When we see the honours and awards coming out in each New

Year, she would have been a deserved recipient of one for British loyalty.

I can only say RIP Desiree, and we made it, even with some concerns which only the British will take care of.
