Leave our historic Buller statue alone

REGARDING the statue of General Sir Redvers Buller, I wonder how many Exeter City councillors have seen active service? Not many, I suspect. When the sons of Devon subscribed to a war hero’s statue they were proud to be British, proud of the men who fought and died for us in past wars. They were all heros and this is what the statue of Redvers Buller represents.

Now the blood is not so red , soft city councillors chasing foreign student money are trying to appease a small minority. If any person is offended by our history they should return to their own flawless country and try to calm their shattered feelings.
