Date for murder trial set by judge

A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set in the case of a North Devon man accused of murder.

Michael Robinson, 35, of Northam, is charged with the murder of 77-year-old Carol Hart.

The case was listed for a mandatory bail hearing at Exeter Crown Court on Monday but no application was made. The defendant, who did not attend, was remanded in custody to a date in February.

Judge Peter Johnson set a provisional trial date for a two week hearing from August 16.
