Girl, 7, seriously hurt by dog

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Paignton girl has been left with potential life-changing injuries after a dog attack.

Police were called to Polperro Close in the town at around 10.30am on Sunday, following a report that a young child had been bitten by an American bulldog-type dog. The child was taken to hospital.

A police investigation has been launched and police officers are making enquiries with the owner of the dog, which they said had “seriously injured” the little girl.
