Pre-lambing workshop to put spotlight on nutrition

PRE-LAMBING ewe nutrition will be the main topic of discussion at an online workshop next month.

The Exmoor Hill Farming Network (EHFN) and Harpers Feed will jointly host the event on Monday, February 8.

Starting at 7.30pm until 9pm, all are welcome to attend.

Network officer, Katherine Williams, said: “Join us for an interactive evening with Jake Chisholm and Louise Hosegood, feed specialists from Harpers Feeds, to discuss the impact of correct feeding on ewe health and flock profitability.

“A quiz will be held with the chance of winning a £20 Harpers Farm Supplies voucher, which can be used on their online store.”

Indications of poor nutrition and nutrition-related diseases will also be discussed over the course of the evening, along with how to calculate energy needs as ewes approach lambing.
