Torbay... home of giant redwoods

AN avenue of 150 giant redwood trees will be planted to form an impressive new gateway to

Torbay – traditionally the home of the palm.

The huges trees, which can grow up to 350ft tall, are to be planted along Riviera Way as part of Torbay Council’s commitment to the environment and to help reduce Torbay’s carbon emissions after the council declared a climate emergency.

Some will be on council land while Cavanna Homes has agreed to allow the planting of 60 trees.
