Keep cars ‘shiny side up’ – police

A MAN had a lucky escape yesterday morning after his car flipped onto its roof.

A nurse discovered the crashed vehicle at around 7.30pm near Lanivet, Bodmin.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that the driver was left uninjured and the car was safely recovered.

Police inspector Regie ButlerCard urged drivers to slow down. On Twitter he messaged: “Remember folks: ‘Shiny side up dirty side down.’”

He said the driver of the car was “very lucky”.
