Easy route from airport to resort

LOCALS say that President Joe Biden could bring his bullet-proof Cadillac to Carbis Bay if he wanted to – and still make the journey from Newquay to the resort with room to spare.

The route from Cornwall Airport Newquay involves no narrow country lanes. Sitting just 2.4 miles off the busy A30, followed by another A-road, and finally down a fairly small side lane,

Carbis Bay Hotel is frequented by large tour coaches which can be almost double the length of Mr Biden’s limo.

In fact, at no point would Biden’s driver need to take the limo down a particularly rural lane to get to the G7 venue. It might struggle on the train bridge leading down to Beach Road, but the large buses full of tourists manage it year in, year out.
