Luxury penthouse development at G7 resort set for next stage

-

PLANS are moving forward for a number of high-end apartments in the G7 town of Carbis Bay. The Derrington Group is currently building 37 exclusive ‘Oceanview’ apartments above the stunning beach in Cornwall.

The apartments will start at £680,000, all with secure gated parking, balconies and stunning sea views.

Later this year world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, will be descending on the seaside town for the G7 Summit with meetings set to be held at the Carbis Bay

Hotel and Estate. The eyes of the world will be on the resort and Cornwall for the event from June 11-13.

Participants will also be staying at the nearby Tregenna Castle Hotel.

A spokesman for the Derrington Group said: “This quality development is situated in extensive grounds, comprises two- and threebedroom apartments, all with uninterrupted views of the sea. Of the thirty-seven apartments available, there are seven duplex penthouses and two lateral penthouses with generous square footage.

“These ocean view apartments will be finished to the highest standards, using state of the art technology and industry-leading appliances. These homes combine classic elegance with the finest contemporary materials and are designed for first-class luxury living. Each unit has its own private gated parking and access to landscaped communal grounds.

“Situated moments away from Carbis Bay rail station, 350 yards from Carbis Bay’s sandy beach – one of Cornwall’s seven award-winning Blue Flag 2019 beaches, a short walk into St Ives Harbour and a 45-minute drive to Cornwall Airport Newquay. Perfectly located, Oceanview enjoys access to the beautiful surrounding areas with local attractions and transport links.”

Developers say they have two planning consents and are set to submit their alterations to the council. It comes after they were told to alter the material finish of the building, lower the pathway, give privacy to the ground floor apartments and create more space to add another apartment within the building.
