Dog in Exeter has Alabama Rot

DOG owners are being urged to remain vigilant after a confirmed case of Alabama Rot in Exeter.

Cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopat­hy (CRGV), more commonly known as Alabama Rot, affects the kidneys and has a 90 per cent mortality rate. It often begins with sores on the legs.

Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialist­s confirmed the news, while also revealing new cases in Herefordsh­ire and Greater London. It has been leading research into the illness.
