I was a ‘remainer’ – now I’m glad we left

-

I NOTE with interest that the export of British beef and lamb is being refused entry to the EU because the paperwork has been completed with the wrong coloured ink.

This surely gives AstraZeneca a means of resolving the growing dispute over vaccine supplies to the EU.

Send it, but complete the accompanying documentation in the wrong coloured ink... I am sure that EU officials will refuse to allow it into the EU!! It can then be returned to the UK where it will be distributed for immediate use.

I voted to remain, but the bad faith shown by – and the petty actions of – the EU recently has convinced me that leaving was actually the better option.

Moreover, the Government should be applauded for the action they took to secure vaccine supplies which would have been impossible had we remained in the EU.

Also, the army of health workers and volunteers should be commended for providing a quick and efficient service.
