Fighting alongside those that we love

-

IF you have a loved one unconscious in hospital at any time, especially during the pandemic, buy a lined A4 book and get everyone to put something in it when they feel like it – grandkids’ drawings, personal sentiments, photos, notes wishing for recovery... anything.

So when they wake up again, tired and confused, and start the long road back to physical recovery, they can read it, or even just look at it.

They will know that, as they fought, those who love them thought of them and fought with them.

Believe me, it’s a great starting point to recovery. When I was in a coma, many years ago, those that loved me did it for me.

It’s a really strange feeling, losing weeks of your life and then coming around and starting a long battle back.
