Every hospital should have a memorial wall
WHAT an amazing man Dr Gamel Osman was – a consultant who worked on the Covid ward at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and died of the infection.
Brave is not a big enough word to describe this man, or the other men and women who have sacrificed their lives fighting the pandemic.
I think after the pandemic is eradicated every hospital should have a memorial wall, with the names of all the staff who have died of this virus – similar to the ones after the First World War – in their reception areas, to remind everyone and future generations that some people gave their lives to beat Covid and to save the rest of us.
