IN disturbing opening scenes of this hard-hitting documentary, a man talks openly about the breakdown of his marriage and his sexual feelings for his 10-year-old daughter. The details are fairly graphic and shocking.
But the man, ‘Simon’, is fictitious. He’s an undercover police officer who has been deployed to target people who pose a sexual threat to children.
He says: “It’s quite disturbing portraying myself as an adult male paedophile, but children will be saved as a result of this work. The rewards are huge.”
As Simon, the cop enters the kids chat rooms online, introducing himself as someone who is sexually active with his daughter and wants to meet like minded individuals who may want to abuse his daughter.
In just two hours, he has been contacted by 23 people. The chat is horrifying.
