Winter scene wins photographic competition
QUICKE’S cheese makers have given away a box of their produce to the winner of a photographic competition organised by the Newton St Cyres-based farm and dairy.
Mary Quicke said: “Thank you to everyone who entered our Winter Photo Competition. Once again, we were overwhelmed at the number of people who sent their wonderful photos to us. We enjoyed going through all the photos and have picked our winner, Katie Miller. Thank you for your stunning photo, you have won a Winter Cheese Box.”
Mary loved Katie’s photo of two children enjoying a walk in the cold, frosty countryside, and how the image conjures up so many textures from the frost on the ground to the clouds in the sky. In the middle of the picture is a glimpse of low winter sun brightening up the landscape.
