We are so much better off out of EU
MICHAEL Warne correctly states in his letter that successive British governments tried hard over many years to join the Common Market.
They did not want us except for our money, and the French leader de Gaulle even vetoed our application despite what we did for them and the rest of Europe a few years earlier!
Like millions of others I voted to join a “Common Market” – I did
NOT vote to join what became the EU, with its many negatives such as loss of sovereignty and being ruled by unelected bureaucrats.
As I did not vote for the EU, which is a rapidly failing organisation that even wants its own army and police force, I voted to leave.
I am certain any problems surrounding imports and exports will quickly be solved. The EU is trying to punish us and frighten other nations who would like to leave by way of the pathetic nonsense surrounding the paperwork for UK exports at the docks, which only proves they don’t really like us and endorses how much better off we are not being part of the EU.
