Road closed as wall collapses
A ROAD in Cornwall has been closed off to traffic and pedestrians in a residential area, after a wall fell down.
The street was shut by the police on Sunday night due to an unstable building and barriers have been put in place.
It is understood that the wall at Battery Hill, in Portreath, collapsed. Police said the road below the wall had been closed to both pedestrians and vehicles, pending a structural assessment involving officers from Cornwall Council.
