EA investigate ‘orange river’

A RIVER in Dawlish is ‘running orange’ according to locals who have called on the Environment Agency to investigate the pollution.

Shutterton Brook was found polluted with discoloured water on Tuesday morning and has since been reported to the watchdog.

A concerned local who uploaded the images to social media said that the “water usually runs clear” but claimed that since nearby building works have started, the impact on nature and wildlife has been “massive”.
