Gun attack on school in Nigeria

ONE student was killed and more than 40 people abducted after gunmen attacked a school in Nigeria, according to reports.

The gunmen, thought to be bandits, shot dead one student during the incident yesterday at the Government Science College in Kagara, in Niger State.

Local reports said about 26 students and 16 staff and family members had been abducted. The gunmen chased students across the school and shot one of them in the head as he tried to escape, the reports said.
