Unwarranted abuse for vaccine volunteers

I RECENTLY wrote in including a comment praising the volunteers who are out in all weathers at our local vaccination centre marshalling cars in and out of the car park and preventing complete chaos.

Yesterday it was particularly busy and caught in the queue waiting to enter the car park I signalled to a volunteer who got on his Walkie talkie and after a minute or so I was directed through and on my way.

I took the opportunity to thank the young man who said he very much appreciated the thanks as that afternoon they had been getting a lot of abuse from delayed motorists. A lot of abuse – words fail me.
