Roles are reversed in the circle of life

-

I HAVE supported Bristol City since my father first took me to Ashton Gate in the early 1950s. In later years the role was reversed when I took my father until he passed away, having supported the Robins for 67 years.

The Circle of Life – my father took me, I then took my grandsons and now in my latter years one of my grandsons is now taking me.

Steve Lansdown has done wonders for Bristol with the transformation of our new stadium into a first-class venue, along with hospitality suites and the investment into a first-class pitch for the use of football and rugby, not forgetting the new training facilities for both football and rugby.

I have been a season ticket holder for over 40 years through good and bad. Without the fans there would be no club. I think the fans will agree that we have been very loyal over the years, through various managers and players who have come and gone.

I hope this time Mr Lansdown has appointed a manager who could take us to the premier league. You made the right choice when you appointed Pat Lam as the head coach of Bristol Bears and look what he’s achieved for them.
