Clare looked. "£10.20 more than I expected," she commented. "I thought it was five metres longer than it was wide."

"I know you did," Sam told her. "But in fact it's two metres wider, and one metre shorter, than you said." What were the dimensions?

B: Doug held up a sheet of paper. "Look, Dad," he said. "Our new phone number."

"That's right. Seven figures to remember now. It was much easier with letters." Harry smiled. "What about it?"

"I found something," replied the boy. "If you add the square of the first three figures to the square of the last four, you get the whole number again."

What was it?
