A SPECIAL event is returning to Devon this year that is set to welcome dog lovers and their pets.

Woofstock is a festival that is celebrating all things dog for families to enjoy which has been running for seven years.

Founded in 2014, the award-winning event welcomes people with their furry friends for a weekend full of canine-themed fun.

This year, it will be taking place from Friday to Sunday, August 6 to 8, within 25 acres of land at Oldstone Farm, in Blackawton.

People attending can choose from either a weekend, day, evening or camping ticket.

There is also a glamping option with a variety of tents to choose from which comes with a ‘very important pooch’ treat basket.

It will be hosted within 25 acres of land at Oldstone Farm in Blackawton.

On the day, there will be shows for dogs to get involved in, such as agility and flyball.

There will also be a shopping village of stalls with all things doggy-related. Other unique activities on the day include paw painting at the ‘pawcasso’ tent and a doggy diving pool.

Pet lovers will even get important pet care advice on topics from a panel of guest speakers where they will learn about dog first aid and certain animal behaviour.

And it wouldn’t be a festival without some live music performance on the day for the family to enjoy.

The event organisers have made sure that the music is suitable for the dog’s sensitive ears. However, nondog owners are also welcome across the weekend too, with the evening music sure to provide entertainment for all. Tickets start from £9.
