Law in squad after returning from loan

-

RYAN LAW will be included in the Plymouth Argyle squad for their away League One game against Burton Albion tomorrow.

The decision comes after the Pilgrims decided not to extend the 21-year-old’s one-month loan spell at Torquay United.

Law (right) made a total of six starts and two substitute appearances for the promotion-chasing National League club.

He came off the bench in the closing stages of the Gulls’ 1-0 win away to title rivals Sutton United on Tuesday.

Law has made four starts for Argyle in the EFL Trophy, plus one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup, but has never played in a League game.

That wait seems set to end at some point over the Pilgrims’ final five matches of this season after his impressive form at Torquay.

Law will most likely play at left wing-back or full-back, depending on the formation chosen by Ryan Lowe.

The Argyle manager said: “He’s back with us, he will be in the match-day squad on Saturday.

“He has done well for them (Torquay), they wanted to keep him, but I think it’s fair that I bring him back and give him an opportunity in the first team to earn a contract off.”

Law will be out of contract this summer, as will another Academy product Klaidi Lolos.

Lowe admitted after the 3-0 defeat by Hull City at Home Park last Saturday that 20-year-old Lolos was ‘very close’ to getting a first league start for Argyle.

Whether that comes against inform Burton, who have won their last three games, remains to be seen.

Lowe said: “I’m not going to give anything away and say he’s playing or he’s not playing. That’s over to me to pick.

“They are all in the thoughts. We will have a look at it and take it from there.”
