Let’s hope the EU invite us to return

-

THE failure is at last becoming clear to those who voted ‘Leave’ purely against the Europeans, who were helping in many ares including farming, the NHS, construction, retail, transport and many other sections of industry, including hospitality.

They would all be paying tax if still in the country and expats who were disenfranchised would not be suffering at the hands of countries where domiciled.

The Cygnus conference advised on dealing with potential pandemics and outlined the need in 2016 for at least 50,000 new doctors and support staff, but Boris Johnson left the conference saying the Brexit referendum was more important.

Our GDP was the lowest in

Europe on the day we joined the EU, and the highest on the day we left – this alone speaks for itself and it is well known that the Bank of England predicted disaster and advised Boris against such a foolhardy exercise which was merely to kick out European foreigners. The evidence is clear that the damage was done before Covid, and if we were still in the EU the huge immigration in the channel would not be happening.

I note the efforts to grab back elements of the EU treaty and hope that the EU will invite us to return, as the only available option on the basis we promise not to break the laws of the Union again.

Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland all wanted to remain but Russian influence on the Tory party won the day.
