Climate protesters are disgraceful idiots

TODAY we nearly lost our grandson, who is four and has Type 1 diabetes. He lives in London. His insulin delivery was delayed in the M25 protest road blocks by Just Stop Oil and the delivery van driver phoned to say that he was stuck and couldn’t get through.

The little boy had to be taken by emergency ambulance to hospital, where the diabetes team spent a day stabilising his levels and basically saving his life.

Every single day is a day of keeping your child alive if he has Type 1, and if the insulin can’t get through because of road blockages by protesters, you are in real trouble.

Stopping traffic is idiotic. If it was a choice between my grandson’s life and that of a protester sitting on the road blocking our way to hospital, I would run the protester over and take the consequences later.
