Body recovered from West lake

A BODY has been recovered from a lake in Torpoint, Cornwall, police have revealed.

Devon and Cornwall Police officers responded to reports at around 10.20am last Friday that a body had been found at Thanckes Lake. Coastguards assisted police at the scene.

The Force Incident Manager confirmed that HM Coroner has been informed of a death. No more details have been made public, but it is understood the body is female and next of kin have been informed.
