Parkway head to Barnet in Trophy

-

WE would like to correct a mistake in yesterday’s Western Morning News in which we said Plymouth Parkway had been drawn at home to Dulwich Hamlet in the third round of the FA Trophy. This is not correct.

The draw was made yesterday and Lee Hobbs’ side have been drawn away to National League side Barnet.

The match will be played on Saturday. December 17 with a 3pm kick-off awith the winners collecting £4,500.

Parkway have won through to the third round for the second season in a row, but this encounter pits them againsta National League side for the first time in their history.

Barnet are a former Football League club and they currently sit sixth in the National League.

Torquay United have been drawn at home to Chippenham Town, who did the double over the Gulls when they met in the National League South during the 2018/19 season.

We apologise for the error and are happy to amend our mistake.

Parkway, meanwhile, saw their home Southern League Premier Division clash with Dorchester Town postponed last night.

A pitch inspection was called at Bolitho Park and the referee deemed the pitch waterlogged at around 1pm.

Truro City’s trip to Poole Town also fell victim to the wintry weather conditions.

Tonight, Tavistock will look to close the gap on the teams above them as they head to mid-table Paulton Rovers, but Willand Rovers’ clash with Frome Town has been postponed.
