Two are rescued from plane crash
TWO people with “serious injuries” have been rescued from a small aircraft in the United States state of Maryland, several hours after it crashed into electricity power lines.
The pair were taken to hospital after the incident in the town of Gaithersburg, which caused widespread power outages in the surrounding area.
Maryland State Police said the pilot and the passenger, who are both in their sixties, were rescued from the plane that was stuck about 100ft above the ground.
