Indoctrination of global warming
LITTLE has been heard since Cop27 finished, and I’m not surprised.
It would appear that the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5C is out of reach, according to climate scientists. Dr Stephanie Hirmer, a senior researcher in climate compatibility at Oxford University, said: “While everyone knows the 1.5C target is off the table, it is not openly discussed in official sessions.”
Dr James Dyker, from the University of Exeter’s Global
Systems Institute, said: “I struggle to understand how anyone can continue to argue that 1.5C is still alive”. He goes on to say: “I certainly don’t believe any politicians involved in Cop27 have any intentions of implementing the transformative policies that 1.5C now demands”.
Even Professor Richard Betts, from the University of Exeter and the Met Office, said: “I would be astounded if international action was ramped up fast enough to avoid 1.5C global warming being exceeded within the next decade or two.”
As I wrote in a previous letter; the Government’s independent climate advisory body, the Climate Change Committee, estimates that eliminating net greenhouse gas emissions from the UK will cost £1.4 trillion by 2050. That is equivalent to £1,700 a year on average for every household.
What on earth are we paying for? Even the pro-global warming scientists have given up on their goal of trying to control the Earth’s temperature. We do not need the scientific method to see what is going on; the catastrophic doom and gloom global warming bandwagon has run out of steam.
We have always had cycles of hot and cold climate change; so we need to apply good old fashioned common sense in this matter. We need to pull the plug on those profiting from the global warming agenda, question their “expert science”, and take their indoctrination with a pinch of salt.
