Chinese protests ignore one key issue

THE Chinese are protesting at the draconian measures brought in to control the populace and the spread of Covid. They are actually calling for political changes, which is a first.

However, no one there seems to be saying much about the treatment and torture of their own people, the Uighurs. I know they have a different religion, but they are still Chinese. Do they not need defending?
