Faced with a ve-hour late-evening drive, I guess I shouldn’t have been too surprised when the Ioniq’s tyre pressure warning light decided this would be a perfect opportunity to test my patience. However, with no sign of a at tyre, and a big ‘out of order’ sign taped to the air machine at my local garage, I decided to attempt to reset the system.

Except it turns out you can’t; the tyre pressure monitoring system in the Ioniq is designed to automatically recognise when the pressures are correct again and reset itself. I pushed on to the next garage, topped up the tyre that was supposedly low on air and, sure enough, a quarter of a mile down the road, the light went out. Clever. MA
