WHAT CAR? SAYS
NOT EVERYONE NEEDS seven-seat versatility all of the time. And for those buyers who will only occasionally make use of a third row, the Discovery Sport is a great choice. Although its rearmost seats are a bit small, they’re still quite usable over short distances, even for adults.
Elsewhere, the Discovery Sport’s range of diesel engines are pleasantly hushed while you’re cruising along, and our recommended choice – the 178bhp D180 – is powerful enough for most family duties. We’d suggest that you keep to smaller alloy wheels in order to get the best ride around town, but no matter which wheel size you choose, the Discovery Sport eats motorway miles as well as anything else in this class. Stick to S trim, too, because this comes with heated front seats and leather upholstery for a price that won’t break the bank.
