The soundbar contains 11 drivers – four woofers, four midrange drivers and three tweeters – each powered by its own amplifier. 5 Ruark R1 Mk4
£229
Fancy a new bedside companion? Ruark has given its entry-level R1 DAB+ radio a stylish makeover. The new R1 Mk4 improves upon its third-generation predecessor with a Scandinavian-style wooden grille and a USB-C port that can both play from and charge compatible devices. There is a DAB/DAB+ and FM radio, of course, plus a 3.5mm headphone output, a switchable aux input and Ruark’s familiar (and excellent) Rotodial top-panel control. The R1’s signature wood-veneer cabinet has been replaced by a sleeker chassis, available in either ‘cream’ or ‘espresso’ finishes. whf.cm/r1mk4
