Our four fabulous turntable-based systems blend the best of old and new hi-fi tech – and there’s something to suit every budget, from affordable to high-end, too

Mozart or Moby? Sitars or synthesizers? The good news is we don’t have to choose. Thanks to our ever-evolving technology, we’ve long enjoyed the ability to listen to pretty much anything – old or new, classical or modern – at the flick of a few cleverly designed switches. The past and the present are both forever available to us whenever we want.

That’s a fact that we’ve tried to echo in our choice of equipment for these four stereo systems. Each one includes a turntable, to bring the joys of the long-established analogue medium, and combines it with a digital source, in the form of either a streamer or a CD player, to represent more modern modes of music replay. Our amplification choices have been selected to best complement those sources, while the speakers are the ones that provide the tastiest icing on each musical cake.

We’ve devised each system to suit a budget – from relatively affordable to high-end – and assembled its components to work in close harmony with each other. Like a football team whose players possess complementary skills, these products not only work with but also accentuate the qualities of their partners.

In short, we’ve done all the hard work for you. But then that’s our job, isn’t it? And we think we’ve done a pretty good one, though we say so ourselves.
