It was only in the last issue of this magazine that we were singing the praises of inflatable sleep mats. And now, here we have – hot off the press and all-new for the 2021 season – this pair of self-inflating mats that are designed specifically for campervans. First up is the Rock ‘n’ Roll, which is made to fit the lower bed in a VW California (as seen on page 46). When inflated, it measures 1.80m by 1.00m (10cm deep), and is also reversible.

The second mat is the Top of the Pop, which, as you might have guessed, is designed to fit the roof bed in a pop-top. This also measures 1.80m by 1.00m, but is slightly thinner at 7.5cm deep – and it’s cheaper, too, at £69.99. Both mats are easy to inflate, deflate and pack down. They both come with compression stuff sacks and weigh 4.5kg and 4kg respectively.
