KNAUS TABBERT SEES REVENUE AND EARNINGS UP AGAIN

German manufactur­er, Knaus Tabbert, has seen revenues rise by €20m (£17.85m) in just the first three months of the new financial year. It said revenues had risen to €238.9m (£213m) from €218.8m (£195.35m) in the same period last year.

“We are undergoing profitable growth and are stepping up our growth course. Our growth offensive will create close to 600 new jobs in 2021 alone,” explains CEO, Wolfgang Speck, adding that the company now has an order backlog of more than 18,800 models.

It has seen strong demand in the upper motorhome segment, which it serves with models from Knaus and Weinsberg, and in the premium sector, which it serves with its Morelo brand.

The group’s workforce – including apprentice­s and temporary workers – increased from 2,887 in the same period last year to 3,237 now.

In the first three months of 2021 it sold 7,088 leisure vehicles, compared to 6,853 in the previous year. There was strongest demand for its campervans – it sold 1,735 compared to 1,335 last year.
