WHO IS HYMER?
Hymer is probably the best-known name in the industry and has been building motorhomes since 1961, when it unveiled the Borgwardbased Caravano pop-top camper. Of course, today, the brand is more often associated with its luxury
A-class models, but campervans were reintroduced in 1980 and the Hymercar name was coined for these vehicles in 1982. In 2008, Hymer returned, belatedly, to this growing sector with its first fixed bed model on the X2/ 50 Fiat Ducato, but the current range developed from a 2011 redesign.
Now referred to as Hymer Camper
Vans (the Hymercar name having been dropped in 2019), the line- up includes entry-level Free models as well as the compact pop- top Sydney. In all, there are two Mercedes-based models and eight on Fiat Ducato, with lengths from 4.96m to 6.36m.
