Losing weight is important
NEW Superlight technology has been introduced on some of Weinsberg’s biggest models, including the CaraCore 700 MEG and CaraHome 650 DG. This features a new seat design and furniture fronts made from highstrength lisocore lightweight panels with a corrugated core structure. A further reduction in weight has been achieved by using lighter plastic leaf springs on the chassis, while the optional lithium-ion battery can make further weight savings. All of which means that a payload increase of up to 30% is possible.
Weinsberg is also offering some new options for motorhomes for 2022, including central locking for the garage doors on the CaraCompact Edition Pepper. The Truma iNet X system with smartphone app control via Bluetooth makes it possible to
operate both Truma and Alde devices, as well as a Dometic Freshjet air-conditioning system. The colour 4.3in touch display clearly shows the outside and inside temperatures, as well as the battery, water and gas levels.
The CaraCore A-class (from £67,570) sees some detail enhancements, including a gas locker that’s now arranged lengthways so the cylinders can be accommodated side by side for easier changing. An integrated awning light is now optional and the cab seats can be upgraded to Aguti Premium or Exclusive chairs. The Premium seats have integrated seatbelts, seat occupancy recognition, height/angle adjustment and ventilation, while the Exclusive seats also feature seat heating, air cushioning and lumbar support.
Changes have also been made to the two lowprofile CaraSuite models, including (again) a
redesigned gas locker with optional pull-out shelf. In the CaraSuite 650 MF, the height of the French bed has been slightly reduced to make it easier to get into.
For campervans, there’s a new soft-closing sliding door option, as well as a waste water tank with an electric drain valve and camera monitoring. The Easy-Space option increases headroom in the cab and provides unobstructed access to the driver and passenger seats without stooping.
The CaraBus campervan also receives new Tiberino furniture and exclusive Weinsberg furniture handles. Bed frames in all campers are now made of aluminium and fitted with wider slats, while the fresh water tank is equipped with a new, easy-to-use drain valve. In addition to white and metallic black, there’s a choice of five shades of grey in the new range of exterior colours.
