WHO IS MORELO?

Under the title ‘First Class Reisemobile. Made in Germany’ (an odd Anglo-German mix), Morelo competes in the very highest echelons of the leisure vehicle market, where ‘liner’ is a more apt description than merely A-class.

From modest beginnings just over a decade ago, Morelo has become the market leader in its category, building over 500 vehicles a year. Its range (which includes right-hand drive vehicles, a few even with a UK-handed layout) starts with the Home and goes up through Loft and Palace models to the Empire Liner and Grand Empire. The entry-level is around €170k before options, stretching up to €716k for a Grand Empire 119 GSO on an 18-tonne Mercedes Actros with a garage for a car up to 4.60m long.

Its premises at Schlüsselfeld are being expanded to cope with increasing demand and already include a 19-bay workshop and overnight pitches for 51 vehicles of liner proportions.
