DEFENDER PLUG IN SIMULATED TV

-

Campervan and motorhome security is a hot topic (see page 59) and most people take great care of their prized possession at home, often fitting security cameras, gates and bollards, as well as deterrents like wheel clamps and steering wheel locks. But what about when you’re away? How often have you been camping in some dodgy layby and sauntered off down to the pub of an evening without a care in the world? That’s where this simulated TV comes in. At 8.5cm wide, it’s very compact and just plugs into a 230V socket. It features 12 bright LED lights, which emit light of varying intensity and colour to mimic a TV, thus creating the illusion of an occupied ’van. It has a four-position switch and a 0.5 lux light-sensitive ‘dusk till dawn’ sensor, so you can set it to switch on automatically as dusk falls and to switch itself off again after either four or seven hours, or you can simply switch it on or off yourself. redlinesecurity.co.uk
