WHO IS KNIGHTS CUSTOM CONVERSIONS?

Owned and run by Jonathan Nightingale, Knights was founded five years ago. The company focuses on custom-designed campervans using top-name components such as Reimo, RIB, Thetford and Webasto. All hinges and catches used are metal, for longevity, and roofs are fitted using a TÜV-approved strengthening frame. Even insulation and soundproofing get a level of attention not always seen in campervans.

Jonathan says, “I live and breathe my job, second only to my wife and three children.” That’s clear in the high-end finish of Knights’ predominantly VW T6-based output. A larger Volkswagen Crafter conversion is being developed, too, and later this year the company plans to move to new, larger premises. That, it says, will allow increased production and enable it to start getting its campers type approved.
