2013 AUTOCRUISE RHYTHM COMPACT
Longer and taller than the Hymercar alongside, this Autocruise (a now-defunct Swift Group brand) is nevertheless more petite than most of its rivals. Where the Sydney (left) is based on a short-wheelbase Fiat at 4.96m long, this is the medium-wheelbase Ducato, measuring 5.41m. That still makes it over half-a-metre less lengthy than the popular LWB van on which most rear lounge layouts like this are based – and that’s a big bonus when you want to park at Sainsbury’s to stock up. Inside, it’s very similar to the standard (much more commonly seen) Rhythm, with a kitchen featuring an oven and a microwave, and a proper walk-in washroom. It’s just that the lounge here is smaller.
