You’re tantalisingly close to being able to afford a new vehicle at the top of this price point but buying used should get you into a higher-spec model.

Whether you’re looking for a campervan or a coachbuilt motorhome, you should be able to find a choice at any dealer but be aware that stock levels at most retailers are at an all-time low, so you may have to do more travelling to see a selection – or go to a show instead.

With any used purchase you need to look out for signs of damp and be prepared to steer clear if you spot any. Also, look for a good warranty when spending this much and be sure to check out the service history of both the base vehicle and the habitation side.
