If you think a VW campervan might be right for you, then there’s no better place to start than with the only campervan wholly built by Volkswagen itself. Prices for a new California might look steep but they have equipment (especially in the cab) rarely seen on other VW campers and they keep their value like almost no other vehicle.

All Californias are well equipped and, although this is an older T5 version, the later T6 looks little different. It still has the electric elevating roof, diesel blown-air heating, top-loading fridge and sliding seat system that make this a top-notch conversion. This one also has an awning and bike rack.

Like all Californias, remember that the (softclosing) sliding door remains on the right on right-hand drive models.
