The long-established Bessacarr brand name might have been retired from the Swift Group portfolio but there are still plenty of them on the used market and they look a good deal plusher than Sundances, Escapes and Edges.

This 484 model has quite an unusual layout for a UK-built model, combining a lowprofile body with a transverse rear double bed and a garage. Adding versatility, the bed can also be lowered for easier access when you’re not storing anything tall underneath.

Its lounge incorporates two extra travel seats, which convert to an occasional extra bed, while the kitchen looks well-appointed with a domestic-style cooker and a fitted microwave above.

Unlike larger garage models, it’s on a 3,500kg chassis, so anyone can drive it.
