LOVE CAMPERS

-

Love Campers is one of the few converters that has nailed its colours to the ID Buzz’s mast, but then this is a company based in Brighton and one that declares that “reducing our carbon footprint and building more environmentally friendly electric campervans is one of our top priorities”. It is preparing a conversion for the ID Buzz that it says will be cutting edge in design, and have a streamlined style, drawing inspiration from both classic boats and the nostalgic VW Bus interiors of bygone years. Sounds exciting and we’ll bring you more news as soon as we can.

In the meantime, Love Campers says it has been working on more electric campervans in the past year than previously and not only are these EVs, but they have induction hobs, extrapowerful solar panels and sustainable interior options, including FSC-certified wooden furniture and natural fibre insulation made from sheep’s wool or hemp.

This converter appears to be far more pro-EV than any other (except Wheelhome) that we’ve spoken to, pointing not just to sustainability but also cheaper running costs and quiet, smooth driving.

Before its ID Buzz conversion lands – we can’t wait! – the company has already completed conversions on both the Nissan e-NV200 and the slightly larger Citroën ë-Dispatch (as featured on Channel 5’s programme, Million Pound Motorhomes). The latter features a side kitchen layout with hand-built wooden furniture and an induction hob, rock ‘n’ roll seat/bed, 4,000W inverter, a 200Ah lithium leisure battery and 370W solar panels.
