Michael Mcintyre will surprise viewers as his show returns

Michael’s back with a new series of his family show. This week, former Labour politician and Strictly star Ed Balls plays Celebrity Send to All, while a new section sees someone woken up at home to play Midnight Gameshow. Music comes from Stereophonics and Emeli Sandé.

Not content with taking over our TVs on Saturdays, comedian Michael McIntyre is also now invading our bedrooms as his hit entertainment show returns this week.

Back with a mix of music, chat and stand-up comedy, the new five-part series will also feature a sketch called Midnight Gameshow, which sees some unlucky viewers receiving a rude awakening! ‘It’s pretty wild!’ chuckles Michael, 41. ‘Viewers nominate their partners or

family members to take part, then give me a key to their home.

‘I go round in the dead of night with a camera crew and creep up to their bedroom, burst in and shout, “Welcome to the Midnight Gameshow!”

‘Their mouths are wide open and they have no idea what’s going on. Then I bombard them with questions while they’re in their pants!’

Michael has also asked a few famous faces to join in…

‘So many people wanted to get involved when they heard what we were doing,’ he says. ‘We’ve had Tim Henman walk into a bedroom in full tennis gear at 3.00am, and David Seaman in his goalie kit.’

There’s also the return of Celebrity Send To All, which sees Michael hijack former Labour MP and Strictly star Ed Balls’ mobile phone.

‘I sent the silliest text from Ed’s phone inviting people to a hot-tub party at his house with Strictly’s Anton du Beke and hip-hop star Stormzy,’ Michael says. ‘Let’s just say a lot of people were up for it!’
