Killing for kicks
BBC1•10.45pm (times vary)
In 2013, Troy LaFerrara was found dead in Pennsylvania, USA. He’d been stabbed 22 times. Three weeks later, 18-year-old Miranda Barbour confessed that she’d killed Troy in self defence, having met him over the Internet. But investigations soon revealed that Miranda and her husband, Elytte, had murdered Troy as part of a thrill killing. Barbour later confessed to killing more than 22 others as part of a satanic murder cult. This programme questions whether Barbour’s murder claims are actually true or simply the twisted imaginings of a fantasist.
